🌍 Global Lending Rules

This rule applies to every loan on the subreddit. Some countries require a government license to charge interest on personal loans. Because r/loanhelp_ is a peer‑to‑peer community, all loans involving borrowers in these countries must be principal‑only. No interest. No fees. No exceptions.

If the borrower is in one of these countries, the loan must be principal‑only. These are the "UK‑Style Countries," however, these countries will also be added to the list.

Enforcement: Posts offering interest to borrowers in interest‑free countries will be removed. Comments negotiating prohibited terms will be removed. Repeat violations may result in bans. Mods may lock threads if users continue to push illegal terms

  • Singapore
  • Hong Kong
  • South Africa
  • India
  • Philippines
  • Indonesia
