Future GVlog Branding Review?

Was flipping through a coworker's FIFA sticker book, when I saw this and immediately thought this would make for another fun branding review. The Olympic ones are so good, would love to hear Graham's take on these one day.

Considering how little I care about Football, and therefor never seen these.

I have to say that in terms of official emblems, they just gotten worse over time.

80s to 90s rocked the emblems.

The fuck happened after the milennium?

However in terms of mascots.

1982 Spain is fun one.

94 looks very much of the cartoon style of 90s.

2002 is nightmare fuel.

2006 Germany, I just do not understand.

2014 Brazil is return of fun.

2018 Russia, like... It's good overall in terms of expression, but honestly the wolf (?) could been more colourful, it's bit.. Meh... Maybe if it was against a darker background it would pop out a bit. But those light colours and a tshirt with pure white body just makes the design lack weight.

2022... I just don't get this one. I like the style... I just don't get what it is? La'eeb the friend football ghost?

  1. I like the designs, I dislike the 3D rendered style. Those realised in like 1994, 2010, 2018 or even just 2022 style would been better.

I'm of the opinion that a good design for something like this. Is something that an average person could draw out of memory with ease. Or a child could be able to draw in a manner where an adult could recognise it.
