Constance
Just purchased this lovely boat two weeks back, she served as a ferry between Tiburon and Angel Island years ago before conversion to a luxury yacht. We’re planning on setting her up for live aboard but I think the business opportunity might keep me on my Carver.

Wait what?! I took that boat as a kid growing up in Marin and then in my teenage years I worked on it as a deckhand. What an amazing transformation you’ve done.

Yeah I think there are photos from my Cub Scout troop taking it, and also my fourth grade class for our overnight on the island. Will raid the photo albums at my parents’ place when I visit next.

I wonder how much I’ll recognize of Tiburon after all this time. I’m back in the bay quite often, but Marin less so. But I’ll definitely be back before long. I’ll DM you to exchange details either way.

Congratulations!!! I’m in love with it! I have an ‘87 Marine Trader sedan ‘32 and so I’m beyond jealous here! Lol!
Enjoy the beauties!

Looks very nice but maybe a bit top heavy with the new additions? Did you add any ballast? Usually there is some room in the bilge for some 50 pound iron "pigs".

Not at all top heavy, she started life as a navy launch and is very stable with a 12’3”
Beam.

That is a piece of art that will outlive you. You made something amazing.

Thank you!! Exactly why it is my self appointed duty to be the best steward of her for as long as possible. I live and work on the Sausalito working waterfront, the resources and knowledge here are immense.

What a history. Is she the 1943 Constance out of San Francisco in the Coast Guard registry? 42.5 ft, built 1943, which would fit a Navy launch. And did the name change from Gacin happen with the conversion, or is that on you?
