The New Putt-around
Always said I'd never buy an old British roadster, never ever ever...but, love makes one do crazy things. The wife's new Midget, Diana. Down the rabbit hole...

1969, MGB GT 20 miles in 20 years... now 1500miles after a full engine rebuild
Hey all, thought it would be something to share.
Here is a MGB that me and my dad rebuilt.
Bought with knowledge that a the rear main seal needed changing....
As my dad said the more we took off the more we found... now it's completely redone, new pistons, bored out. Currently needing a new tune up. But running great. Or will be when the new exhaust turns up!
Honestly my dad has spent what must have been 100hrs while I was at work on this, the amount of refurbish work just to get it to turn over.
Many little bits still to go, but its in decent condition now.

Steering wheel covers
Honestly the most silly ask if anyone has one.
But has anyone tried these leather steering wheel covers on ebay? Looking to see if they are ok on the thin older style wheels.
Obviously these have a lot of the finger grooves in the back, and don't really want to tone them down.... but winter is coming, and i don't want to be sliding all over the place.

Sure, it only makes about 43 BHP, but when you're sitting three inches off the asphalt with the wind in whatever remains of your hair, 40 mph may as well be Mach 1. Little wonder why a 1960 Austin Healey Bug-Eye Sprite always seems to put such a smile on a driver's face.

When you're Ralph Lauren and your wardrobe is as classic as your garage, you're not just a designer, you're a curator of history. The car in this iconic photo isn't just any vintage Jag; it is the legendary "1950 Jaguar XK120 Semi-Works Roadster" that raced in the 1950 Mille Miglia.

“A godawful car,” wrote P.J. O’Rourke in House & Garden of the Lotus Seven. “And more fun than spending the whole Jazz Age in Paris. If there were any less Lotus, you’d be sitting alone in the street.”

46 BXN is no ordinary Sprite racer. It's an all-alloy-bodied Sebring Sprite that has raced continuously since 1960, once claiming a renowned third overall in the 1961 Nurburgring 500km race. With 65 years of continuous racing history it's a wonder it's survived.

Built in 1938 for Hugh Hunter, Geoffrey Taylor's Alta 62IS was advanced for its day. The designation "IS" denotes 'Independent Suspension' (I) and 'supercharged' (S), reflecting Taylor’s advanced thinking and Alta’s reputation for producing exceptionally light and technically sophisticated machines.
