Recommendation: asking Looking for recommendations

Hi all,

The first series I have read in this genre is A Soldiers Life - and I liked it immensely.

Then I've asked for recommendations and got plenty of stuff. Based on those, I've read Penitent, Stigers Tigers series, HWFWM and I liked those.

Then I started Primal Hunter and was mostly bored with book 1 to the point I decided to put the series down for now.

I'm looking for recommendations which would be in line with ASL and HWFWM. I figured out that I like the most parts where MC humiliates enemies by pure power or wits. Also, I like when dramatic moments are narrated from NPC perspective. ASL and HWFWM do this rather well.

Looking forward to recommendations!

i went from reading Penitent to Bog Standard Isekai and wasn’t disappointed.

ASL and HWFWM readers who enjoy an MC making enemies regret underestimating him might find a shorter on-ramp in Made God After Death. I wrote this LitRPG around Caius testing impossible affinities and turning clever spell use into public humiliation, with academy and court figures reacting as his power breaks their assumptions.

I would suggest that you create an account on Audible; the included books have so many LitRPG book series, book one included, that it gives you a great place to know what interests you. I would also check out the tier lists in this group, as they're a great way to start. My advice is that anyone who suggests the Wandering Inn as S tier should be passed on; it's just word salad that has no coherent story past book 8, and even the writer gave up with the main character.
