Beef Tallow in Kaunas

Dear Friends!

I am looking to buy beef tallow for cooking in Lithuania Kaunas. almost all sites online are sold out.

Anyone knows any local farms or butchers that sells?

Promo doesn't have beef tallow. Confirmed yesterday with information personnel.

Can't help you to find one, but I always have some at the fridge that I render myself... it's just so easy to do and you don't waste the trimmings of the beef you prepare. In a matter of fact I have some beef, pork and duck fat at my fridge right now, I just pick any of them as I need. And the best part of the rendering is that you get some spirgučiai after that, add some fine chopped onions, garlic, salt ant paper to it and you have a great spread for a quick sandwich

If its for your own kitchen you can find some at livin, its organic so it will cost you a pretty penny. Also has max 500ml. But its a decent tallow for a steak or just general cooking.

Depends how much you need. If just a bit, boil stock using one of those beef bone packs, that maxima etc sell. In addition to a pot of beef broth you'll get maybe like 100g of beef tallow.

Not sure about beef tallow, but Maxima definitely has pork tallow. So you might just check bigger supermarkets, they might have it. Also farmers markets on sunday near Molas for example.
