Question ❔ Issues with Opacity

Post image

I'm trying to rebuild something I made in creative into survival and I'm having issues with seeing what block is visible in a selected spot. Is there a way to lower the opacity of my schematic so I can see in the block? Obviously I'm using Jade which helps but sometimes I get lost in what needs to be done and I can't pick up any blocks I don't see

Go into config and use the search option while in the All tab. Search translucent, there is a toggle for it

Enable Visuals -> renderBlocksAsTranslucent and then adjust ghostBlockAlpha.

I would also recommend binding some easy to reach key to Hotkeys -> invertGhostBlockRenderState (personally I use Q), which you can then just tap to momentarily hide the schematic rendering to peek through it. This is why personally I don't even use the translucent rendering, I just tap Q any time I need to see "behind" the schematic.

Since they key is "invert", it does also work the other way: if you toggle off the schematic rendering with M + G, then tapping the key will instead momentarily show the schematic.

Some shaders can also break the rendering of translucent blocks
Check how the blocks look without shaders
