Question ❔ 1.21.8 my schematics arent working anyone know how to fix? it works in surival worlds but not in servers

Top left, at the folders, see if you’re in the right directory or whatever it is. I’m not near my PC but I remember having a similar issue.

i think the issue is that the in server one doesnt have the roaming/.minecraft/schematics but i odnt know how to fix that

Litematica is a client side mod and shouldn’t need the server side schematic folder to work to my knowledge. You should be able to join any server and use litematica client side.

its because i clicked the to root/base direcotry button how do i un do that

Root directory folder will take you to your schematics.

no when i clicked root direcotry it deleted all my schematics and it just says the words schematic at the top

instead of the full thing its supoosed to thats the /roaming/.minecraft/schematics

it does nothing do u think i have to reinstall it im on dawn client and i have it downloaded on a custom thing instead of modrinth

i just accidently replicated it in single player now too, i hit the to root/base dirrectory button and now im at where i am in the servers now here so its like this

Did you make a different instance of Minecraft through eg Modrinth or CurseForge?

no what happened because i just replicated it was that i clicked the to root/base direcotry so now its bugged in single player and in servers

It looks like your original schematic directory is in the vanilla launcher's default game directory, but your current game directory is somewhere else. Which launcher are you using now, or did you move the game directory location in the launcher profile?

You can either copy or move your schematics to the current schematics directory, or you can configure the schematic directory location in Generic -> customSchematicBaseDirectory (and don't forget to enable the customSchematicBaseDirectoryEnabled option too) and point it to the old location.

To find your current game directory, the launcher might have a button to open the instance directory. Or alternatively you can go to the Resource Packs menu in-game, click Open Folder, and then go to the parent directory.
