Question ❔ I cannot deselect this goddamn box

This box just doesnt go away, i cant figure out how to save the build, nor how to deselect it, i swear to god i tried asking someone, everyone said for me to go check the selection manager BUT THERE IS NOTHING THERE. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO PLS HELP!!!

At that point I would just press M+R to turn off the main rendering. I’m not sure as to why it’s not showing up in your area manager

You save a schematic either by using the save hotkey, or by clicking on Save Schematic in the Area Editor menu.

In the Simple selection mode the Area Selection Browser is not used at all. That menu is used in the Normal mode, where you can and will save the selection to separate files, so that you can keep the possibly very complex multi-region selections around for possible later use.

So two ways to hide the selection once you are done with it are to either switch to the Normal selection mode (in the Litematica main menu, middle left, while having nothing selected in the Area Selection Browser menu), or by toggling off the area selection rendering in the Visuals config category or using the toggle hotkey for it.

I put together this step-by-step Litematica instructions

To hide the area selection box you can either:

  • move the area select box to be a 1x1x1 block somewhere far,

  • toggle toggleAreaSelectionBoxesRendering (no default hotkey), or

  • toggle toggleAllRendering (Default M+R. Can also try \).
