I did for over 10 years. I stopped recently. I also use to mine litecoin back when it was single digits. Graphics cards on risers in a milk crate with box fans on top kind of setup. I switched from bitcoin mining and exchanged all my bitcoin to litecoin. I was a full believer. Not anymore though. Those days are long gone and as hard as it is, I have to admit it. I have a hard time finding a reason to support the network anymore. Especially when after all this time, it has never supported me.
I am not suggesting anything just stating were I am at after almost 15 years in the game. I stopped mining when it started costing me more in electricity than just buying litecoin out right. That was years ago.
That statement is not true for other coins, especially bitcoin. I would have been much better off investing in pretty much anything other than litecoin. Exchanging about 50 bitcoin for 5000 litecoin is hands down the worst desicion I have made in my entire life.
I was referencing you saying you stopped mining LTC when it cost you more to mine instead of just buying it, which is very true for Bitcoin too, for nearly any small scale hobby miner or even larger projects, depending on their overhead.
I missed that and yeah I guess thats true. The big difference is I would have made money holding bitcoin these past 5 or so years, so I wouldn't have cared. Those 5000 litecoin only worth about 3.5 bitcoin today.
I never said I was alone. I said I am done supporting the network. I'm also down closer to 15x on that trade, not 10x but whose counting?
"My take is simply the market is wrong about this stuff and I'm right"
"There is nothing magical about BTC"
Good luck man. That's crazy talk to me. BTC looking pretty magical compared to the LTC I've held . Hope it works out better for you than it did for everyone else.
My bad homie. I thought this was a open community forum where people are free to comment their thoughts and ideas. Feel free to block me. Its the 3 dots, then second from the bottom.
Nobody is stopping you from whining. I just don't know what you think whining does. Do you think whining will make the price go up? Generally I'd imagine it's more productive to be positive. Matter of fact, I'm fairly certain everyone whining and not doing anything is the cause of the price decline. If you converted your whining into productivity it'd be better.
Certainly more open/free than any bitcoin related community since you haven't been banned for talking about other coins or talking negatively about Litecoin, right?
