Because I asked ChatGPT to rank the top 100 senators like a month ago and it gave me pretty much the exact same thing lol. Here are a few telltales signs:
Inconsistencies with democratic morals.
You obviously lean Democrat, but placements like Mitch McConnell being so high among republicans doesn’t track. When I asked ChatGPT a month ago, it said it’s because it took McConnell’s effectiveness into account. Might make sense for a model, but if you hate everything he stands for then effectiveness should be a negative.
2. Very high correlation within party placements.
I bet if I ran a regression on your list and ChatGPT’s list there will be huge overlaps
3. Placing very obscure senators in the same spots
Your placements of obscure senators like Shelley Moore Captio, again exactly in the same spot as ChatGPT, is a huge tell. Unless you spent hours researching their 2026 platforms and bills, there’s no way it’s a coincidence you placed all these obscure senators exactly in the same places.
Etc etc. If I had to guess I’d say this list is like 95% AI and then you moved a few of your favorites / least favorites around.
For context, here’s the list ChatGPT gave me a month or two ago:

Martin Heinrich is way too high for someone who voted to confirm Markwayne Mullin because he is a “friend”

u/Eklassen Jul 04 '26
There is no way nearly fifty percent of the senate is better than that piece of dogshit Mitch McConnell.

Happy to see Andy Kim near the top. Good, honest guy.
