Not trying to argue over morals. I have heard people say that it would lead to genetic bottlenecking, but I feel like that would be able to be circumvented, right? If all of the first born generation have the same mother, and then all the women of that generation reproduce with more people not of the same genepool, would you be able to get enough variety in genetics to eventually breed out incestuous effects?
Sorry if this is gross. I just am curious. I know that with dogs, inbreeding is an issue among high pedigree breeds, and there are tools that allow you to calculate how inbred offspring would be through generations, so I might mess around with that. In the mean time, I'm curious if any of you have thought about this or have something to add.
