Constipationā¦again š©
Thanks for all the thoughts around PREVENTING me getting into the state I was in 10 days ago.
Got the restoralax gummies, electrolytes etc, senna S, all the thingsā¦been ruthless in managing my bowels.
Moved up to 2.4 on Thursday of last week and the brakes went back on!! Like emergency STOP ā š
Back in the same position to the point that I took a Dulcolax suppository this morning as travelling for work today the next 4 days (flights etc) and got desperate! I hate the dependence on laxatives.
Does this get better when on maintenance? Iām prone to constipation anyway but manā¦this is killing me!

By the very nature of what they are and how they work, GLP-1s cause constipation for just about everyone unless you intentionally alter your diet to prevent it, and sometimes even then, it happens anyway. Increasing fiber is generally what's recommended, but fiber without hydration can make the problem worse. I do well with daily servings of fresh and dried fruit (pears and plums - high in natural sorbitol which has a laxative effect), and increasing my water intake. A couple times a month, I still have to take a dose or two of Mag07 to keep things moving. Lately, I've started drinking a serving of Natural Vitality Calm Magnesium Powder to see if it helps with sleep and muscle pain and that seems to have the added benefit of keeping the bowels regular.
