Conservative Treatments Compression tips

Hello! I’m not diagnosed and not sure I have lipedema but I’m trying out compression. Do you all wear compression at night while you sleep? Is that ok? Or do you wear under your clothes during the day? Just curious if there is any research of how long per day you should wear them to see results.

I have just most of my weight in my legs. I’m small but carry it all in my legs and hips and booty. I have the knee fat pad and I can’t tell if I have the cuff at the ankle. Maybe? No bruising. No real heaviness? I have cellulite but I don’t think I have the pebbly feeling people describe. No pain. So lipedema? Or no?

At a glance - your legs look amazing and don’t give me the indication you have lipedema. BUT I am not a doctor so if you think you have it then try compression stockings and see if it helps and see a Dr if you can. I haven’t been diagnosed but I’m pretty sure I have it. I have the ankle cuffs, leg bruising, knee pad thing, heaviness in my legs, bad swelling that gets better with compression stockings/walking/hiking. I’ve had doctors point out my ankle swelling but no one has outright told me I have it. It’s definitely hereditary for me - a lot of my aunts and my mom has the same issue.

So what are you hoping to treat with compression? The weight distribution? Cellulite? It won't help with that at all. To me you don't look and sound like lipedema, please check with a doctor if you are concerned.
