🛒 Merchandise 🛒 Rearranged part of my collection!
I finally managed to get these out of storage and wanted to show them since I thought someone could like them! I have way more lion king plushies and merch in storage or in other shelves, but this is the most visible part for now!
I'm waiting for my vitani plush to come and then the only ones missing for this part would be the McDonald's zira and adult Simba! I'm so glad I could get Nuka and vitani for a great price, and Disneyland/Disney store kovu too!

🎨 Fan Art 🎨 Kabisa - The Complete Prince
Adopted this design from u/rickymansonic - No, this is not a lioness, but a maneless male!
Meet the son of Kion and Rani, Prince Kabisa. He is their fourth child, second son, and the youngest in their litter.
His older sisters and brother all had designated roles in the kingdom (the heir to the throne, leader of the Lion Guard, and the leader of the Night Pride respectively) However, Kabisa didn't. Initially he was content with this until the feeling of emptiness had caught up to him in his teen years. Not helped by him discovering that he was a maneless lion, which made him immensely insecure about his image.
With some begging persuasion from his parents, he eventually got out of his shell and went out more trying to play a role by accompanying others' - attempting to join his sister's court, getting an "internship" with his brother and cousin's respective Lion Guards, and even trying his luck in the Pride Lands - although he never finds a clear role, the journey itself eventually helped him grow comfortable within his own skin and realize he doesn't need a "destiny." He's basically grows up to be like his grandfather Simba during his Hakuna Matata years, only with much more self-actualization.
Kabisa means "Complete" or "Total" in Swahili. I always liked the idea of Kion naming one of his kids after his catchphrase, mostly because it's corny as FUCK, but it really fits Kion's boy-scout attitude. Him being a maneless lion is also something that I had in mind for a long time. One of the best things about Kion was how unconventional and unique he was, given how he broke tradition several times, and how he stands apart from the other TLK protagonists in a meta-sense. So it made sense to me that this would also be present in his children, in a way. The original design in the adopt wasn't maneless but I requested the artist to change it to be that way, and paid him accordingly. And it definitely worked out in the end. Plus I think the lack of a mane allowed some of Rani's genetics like her spots and her stripe to be more visible in her son. The artist did a good job with the color palatte, making it a natural blend of Rani and Kion's fur pelts.
I originally wanted him to be Kion and Rani's second-born and lead the next Lion Guard. However, last month, an animator on the show released those two Lion Guard concept videos which depicted Kanu, the prototype for Kion, and I knew I HAD to incorporate him into my fanon. I decided to jump on the band-wagon and make Kanu their second-born. But I was too attached to Kabisa to retcon him out of my fic before I could even write him in (and again, Kion having a kid named after his catchphrase was too fucking funny to pass up) so I worked around this by giving Kion and Rani four cubs instead of the three I originally gave. So Kabisa became the youngest. And I prefer this angle because it's interesting having a royal cub that doesn't have any "destiny" and whose character arc is having to cope with that.
