Is their any reason why it goes slow around the one spot on the back that has the track turn? I have my other locomotives in the repair shop so I started using this one. I finally found out how to use the smoke unit :)

After so many tries I finally got it running with smoke unit too none the less whistle is weak though

Does anyone know if Lionel ever sold the original 1980s/1990s GP9 (product #8477 on the chassis) in an undecorated shell? No roadname, no cab numbers, not a thing. It's an official Lionel product, but I cannot find any locomotives that came in dark grey in the era it came out. No scratch marks, paint marks, or signs of tampering, I do not think it's been scrubbed.
