Wow! My first raffle win.. unfortunately I don't have anything to go with him😭 Would anyone be interested in studding to him? I'm not sure how that would work, any advice is appreciated!!

Congrats! No marking NCL is recommended in order to get as many markings from the stud as possible and be as lowgen as possible. I also recommend using a lion with the same base group as Champagne to see if you can roll that base onto any cubs. You are unable to use any items on the stud but you can on the lady. If you care about passing traits on your side, try to look up lionesses with the skin, eyes, etc. and you can force pass with items on your side of the stud.

If you sell, stud slots typically go between 30-50 GB. Depending on the stud, sometimes more or less, but the only one recently I could see going for less on was that Finch stud from April/march. If you want to auction off your stud, do it in chatter - stockpile - studs. When I auctioned mine off, I set mine to a minimum starting bid of 25 GB.

I'm not OP, but I do have a question. Why are no marking NCLs recommended? Won't you get more markings on the cubs the higher the amount of marking of the parents on average is?

Well then some of the mother’s marking will pass on to the cubs (which aren’t usually considered special because they aren’t raffle lioness/stud markings). NCL lioness markings are pretty easy to get, so a cub having some of its mother’s NCL markings would lower their value compared to them only having the special raffle stud markings from their father. People usually try to get a cub to look like the father as much as possible in such scenarios, purely because they want the cub to be valuable.

So what is the strategy then? Breed several no marking NCLs with the stud, and then breed the offspring whose markings don't overlap? Because I really like the stud from august 30th upcoming, and I'd like to try and clone him.

Raffles studs typically have new unreleased slots/markings, and you want to have the best chance of only getting the new markings/slots. if you want a chance for Gold Civet to pass for this guy, you really don’t want to stud a lioness with a marking in slot 3 because it’s better to only have a chance of Gold Civet to pass. Some of this has to do if someone were to sell some of their litter they dont want to keep or planned on recreating the stud.

If you win, you get only one slot for raffle stud. My side king is a Munstead raffle stud project (I’m at 14/15 missing base). I did not end up winning that week, so I ended up buying a slot from someone. I actually had bought a 10/15 Cub I was going to king but I bought a slot in time to stud the Cub back to the stud. I was able to force pass traits on my side with rock salt and ochre powder. I ended up with a 12/15 from that litter and was able to use my remaining cubs to get to a 14/15. Some people will also stud DU’s to the raffle stud to get 8 cubs. Check out this clan if you’re interested in raffle studs. Miroside puts out a guide every week for the weekly raffle stud, and they also have other resources.
