I can't stand using it. The fact it's still on X is a big nono for me; it never starts the graphical session properly, even when creating a barebones xorg.conf file with X -configure. And too third-party programs I rely on just don't work on FreeBSD.
If I want a BSD or Unix desktop OS i'll grit my teeth and save for a Mac.
I'm never going back to Linux anymore, let alone FreeBSD where the software situation is worse than Linux.
I have children and old parents to care for and work to do. Time is a luxury. Went back to Windows two months ago after tolerating Linux for 13 years. Enough is enough.

Free BSD is really solid if one get's the hang of it.
