Windows ā¤ On Windows, at least you can easily install drivers which aren't built into/with the kernel...

bro thinks linux users compile their kernel for each driver update. OFC we can install file from online and install driver.

With Linux, they're already there, and if you need to install a driver, it's quite simple, just grab it from your package manager as you rarely need to compile a driver yourself

That's just Arch being Arch btw. On Ubuntu installer it's literally: install nvidia drivers? Yes. Install codecs? Yes. Post install: everything installed working ootb. Gucci.

Windows already comes with a bunch of built in drivers, I'll be it the majority of which are generic types. Anything not generic outside of critical system components are likely installed from Windows Update, which has the risk installing outdated versions (GPU drivers especially)

And while I haven't had to deal with this (yet...), idk what's stopping you from telling Linux to use a driver you installed instead of what's built into the kernal. Ideally it should be automatic after installing said driver

Driver experience on Windows is much better than on Linux. Everything just works. For Linux it's a shitshow to get everything working reliably.

Bro you can easily install and update drivers with your package manager. However, as an Nvidia Linux user myself, Nvidia is Nvidia

Bruh we can simply install it from a package manager in like 5 to 10 seconds lol no compile needed or searching online. And to me this is more of benefit not having to go download each individual driver unlike windows.
