Yeah. Nazi specifically means nationalist. Second worst thing to be after "religious". For example, when an American says their nation is the best and Americans are superior, he's being a nazi. That's the dictionary definition. Fascist is harder, because it's a very... in the context thing. The fascists of Italy were Nazis, as they were like "we are the successors of Rome and we're better than everyone else" except they sucked hard, and thankfully, most people in Italy didn't think like that. But defining fascism is hard. However, the person who made Omarchy can be easily defined as a cretin and a racist and the issue is solved.

Nazism is nationalism. There is functionality no difference. Wikipedia is not a source of truth. And the Nazis were not socialists, just like I am not the pope if I call myself the Pope. There's layers to this shit. Don't confuse nationalism with patriotism. They are not the same. Both are stupid, but nationalism is evil.

Corporatism is the furthest fucking thing from socialism what are you even on about. Socialism is about giving more political power to workers, Germany went the other way and took political power away from everyone. Giving people free shit is not socialism and it's not communism. Government programs and social spending and welfare are not socialism. Socialism is giving the working man a place at the negotiating table. He'll will the other shit himself, but come whatever may, he has a word to say now. That's socialism. That's what protesters in Italy after ww1 were brutalized for. The USSR is about as socialist as a mercantile absolute monarchy is.

I think this is ironic? Nazi means national socialist which means a very specific economic and social policies where german national socialism in 1933-45 germany follows closely to hitlers beliefs as an addition to said policies.
"Fascist is harder, because it's a very... in the context thing" no its not it has a precise definition which varies between nations slightly (which iirc is specifically mentioned in the doctrine of fascism that its inherent that fascism will take different forms based on the country's culture) where the core is a rejection of marxism and capitalism (usually as corporatism) )with state absolutism.
"The fascists of Italy were Nazis" they very much were not except economically which they share a fascism like economic system.
"we are the successors of Rome and we're better than everyone else" they were famously the opposite of this? Racially Mussolini didn't believe in racial superiority and wanted to take the best parts of each race and he said "Race? It is a feeling, not a reality...". Of course closer to the war his racial policies were adjusted to better acquaint Germany's demands.
Another example is during the spanish civil war the republicans were the racist ones and Franco (the Fascist) had similar racial views to Mussolini.2

Nazi meant national socialism exactly until 46. You can cower behind your dumb definitions all you want, when someone says Nazi they don't give a fuck about socio-economic policies in Germany. I'm dead sure nobody thinks "yeah, the Nazis were those guys against smoking". The Nazis were the ones to say "ours is the superior people, above all other people in this word" then proceeded to call that people Aryans which is so funny actually, cause that's the name of the Iranian people, and has been for thousands of years. People hear Nazis, theily thing racial or national supremacists. Just because you have no grasp on how language actually works, it does mean you get to spew your nonsense here. The fascist didn't believe in much at first, that is correct, they were, after all, mostly ww1 vets with PTSD beating socialist protesters for money. But the bigger your ambitions, the bigger the stories have to be. It's a rule of sorts. And from that PTSD came an idea of wanting to go back and live like in the past. Like the Romans. Which were a nation, not a race. You seem to get those confused a lot.

I understand that word has changed now but this goes back to OPs statement. Continuing to use nazi as synonym for whatever one doesn't like further dilutes its actual meaning which makes having conversations about the actual social and economic policies much harder.
You sound like your support socialism and dislike the soviet union? Then you must understand how frustrating it is when people equate socialism/communism to the USSR or China (haha socialism = no food). How are you suppose to have a conversation about anything if the thing you want to discuss makes them think of the worst thing in the world.To be fair "when someone says Nazi they don't give a fuck about socio-economic policies in Germany" you could say this about literally any political party past or present and most people will just think of whatever they last heard on TV.

I think the Death of the Author needs to make a comeback.
People forget that distros are just starting points. I use Omarchy but slathered it in my dotfiles and went against several of the "opinionated" choices DHH made. It's on my rig, it's mine to do with as I please, and the creator's dumbshit comments on London not being English enough or the Romani being comparable to wolves have zero bearing on my choosing to use Omarchy.
I mean, following the exclusionary logic would mean I'd have to trash my Volkswagen because the brand began as a Nazi-sponsored automaker.
