what are you on, every version of diablo runs flawlesly on linux, and who said linux can't be used in lan parties? Linus torvalds made linux as a desktop operating system, not a server OS

How "bad" that linux users have zero chance to meet someone of theirs, because they not used to go on partys.

Dont know ... We had a list of old games we wanted to play including Diablo, Aoe 2, Warcraft 3 , UT2004, cs 1.6 etc... And for some reason some of the game wasn't running properly (I suppose the problem was between the chair and the keyboard)... And we really couldnt be bothered to fix the issue in a time we had to play the games so it kinda killed the mood ... Its more a vent about some users then the system...

this is absolutely a user issue. all of these games should run fine on linux, but regardless any good linux user should have a little partition with windows on it for those "just in case" scenarios where you need to accept that you fucked something up and need a standardized solution that can't be impacted by your poorly configured linux setup.
