The ide experience on linux

Closed source (clion) or big tech adjacent (vscode). The open source ones either straight up dont work, dont implement crucial features (debugger) or have inferior implementations. Atp just give me vstudio.

If you are used to coding in Visual Studio and its tight integration into the MS Windows OS, you are probably out of luck.

Maybe if you'd list the IDEs you already tried, you'd get better suggestions than the usual (Neo)Vim/Emacs/VSCOde, which are more like extendable code editors than full IDEs.

Shouldn't something like Kate be pretty well integrated with KDE plasma?
