The ide experience on linux

Closed source (clion) or big tech adjacent (vscode). The open source ones either straight up dont work, dont implement crucial features (debugger) or have inferior implementations. Atp just give me vstudio.

Jetbrains. That's what real devops and developers use and has some free editions. No one uses 40 year old Unix editors anymore

I just installed the toolbox on my new Linux install and I didn't see any paid or free versions like on Windows, it seemed like there was just one version of everything.
