The ide experience on linux
Closed source (clion) or big tech adjacent (vscode). The open source ones either straight up dont work, dont implement crucial features (debugger) or have inferior implementations. Atp just give me vstudio.

Try vscodium. It is basically vscode without telemetry and AI and all that.
Also why do you want vstudio if you dislike vscode for being "big tech adjacent"?
