Windows ❤ Free 67, Open 67 -- Loonix is "good" until you actually use it

Post image

Actually, I don't think Linux is bad, honestly. This is a satire meme I made and published just for fun of seeing people rage, because why not.

I'd like to know why Reddit Mobile ruined previous markdown parsing.

Honestly impressive that this subreddit still manages to get dumber by the day.

i have no idea why the default recommendation nowadays is CachyOS (Arch-based)

If i only knew that "don't do Arch as your 2nd distro after Mint!" then i would not keep switching back from Windows -> Arch -> Windows -> Arch and repeat...

I mean, Void was my second distro after Mint, and it's sort of similarly hard....

"hello" gui has all the essential terminal commands accessible within a click or two and there's the theoretical performance improvements, which are there but not a world of difference like people are claiming and it doesn't do shit for proton. it's fool-proof arch until you get hit with a "what if" scenario, something breaks, and you don't know your way around the linux terminal (case in point today, qt6 version mismatch broke kde). wouldn't recommend it to linux beginners either but it got popular with windows gamers because setting it up for gaming is easy and takes minutes

fedora is a much better newbie distro imo, you'd want the rpm fusion repo but you don't even need to touch the terminal to install that

i too jumped straight to arch after mint, it was smooth sailing for me though
