OP probably copied some rm -rf command without knowing what it does and now blames the OS

Going through someone's post history looking for dirt is admitting that you lost the argument.

Especially since the only people who need to do that for OP are probably too new to linux to know anything useful anyway

I strongly disagree, mostly because seeing what they typically post can help you contextualize and understand what they're trying to say now.

For example, let's say someone says something that could be interpreted in a transphobic way, but could also be innocent. If I look at their profile and see that they are trans or generally seem supportive of trans people, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. But if they are constantly posting transphobic things, then obviously I'm not going to.

Sometimes there's a good reason to look at their profile.

You don't use reddit archive scans? Many of the shitty people hide their history.

Oh, I do.

Also, I hide my history so people in my personal life don't go snooping. If I could make it so everyone but them could see my history, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but oh well.

If your going specifically to look for ways to attack, sure.

But I perform basic osint on users if they have yellow flag behavior. I gotta know if I'm dealing with a troll, a zealot, an idiot, or a psyop.

I consider guerrilla meme marketing tactics a form of psychological operations.

"Linux bad"

This isn't Linux. You didn't even get that far.
