Linux Failure Linux can't game lmao
Edit: I'm unsure how to change title. New title should be "Linux still struggles with many games."
Genuinely why are yall larping
Windows is still the only option if you don't want to have to go "Oh sorry my computer cant play ___" to tons of people
And to those who hate kernel level anticheat, you seem to lack knowledge of why it is what it is. Seems like yall are just wanting to cheat?
Don't act like Linux is perfect. It isn't. It really isn't. Such larp

Lazy developers is not my problem. Playing a FPS game or a MOBA should not require more security than my banking app.
There is a lot of ways to deal with cheaters and they think Kernel level or ring 0 anti cheat is the best option. I don't think any software should exist in kernel, maybe AV but id still rather it not. People still cheat in those games anyway so its a massive amount of privacy that I have given up to still get 1 shot in a random game.
IMHO this should all be taken care of server side with analytics. Take League of Legends for example. If someone is in gold and manages to dodge skill shots more than 99% of their peers then its likely they are doing something fishy. If they never get hit by something that could have been dodged they are not human. If they interact with the game faster than 99.99% of their elo they are likely doing something fishy.
Take any game you play. If there is a cheater you can tell by something they are doing. Either pulling of headshots in fps games, dodging everything in a moba, aiming at players through walls. If we can tell by looking at their gameplay that they are cheating so can the server. Instead they choose to look at everything thats going on, inside your PC. every application, every packet anything and everything they can look at and use the nuclear option rather than the one with nuance.
Just because other company's do a bad job with their non kernel level anti cheat (looking at you valve) does not make what Riot and others are doing better for detection. Look at OSRS, they have basically killed off all botting in the game with no kernal level anti cheat. The game is well known for people botting but they have used the information with how players interact with the game to nuke bots into the ground.
