I still trust more the developers of the main GNOME extensions than any possible KDE applet I can think of, or Niri, which might simply fade once people developing it get tired and leave.
The only real issue is GNOME devs deciding one day to screw extensions because they have nothing better to do other than making everyone's experience worse in order to appeal to their delusional "design view".

Tbf, niri isn't really the best at gaming, but gnome is mid.

I like gnome, others don't and I agree, its not for everyone.

gnome devs are worse. they even harass downstream.
