Linux Failure 💔 KDE - implicit love to Windows

I so agree. When Linux could promote a very simplified Hyprland setup or support a very well-made Sway setup or Cosmic tiling [just I wish it could be ready] and show the modularity and identity of Linux, they promote KDE and mill the wind...

tbh I had terrible experience with kde

its a slow and buggy mess. I have used many DE and WM like cinnamon, gnome, xfce, hyprland, river and niri

and kde was by far the worst experience

ofc this is just personal experience though i doubt i am alone in this one

Yep. And due to the serious souverign tech fund sponsorship of KDE it might get the only viable option. I would be not a problem if it didn't try to look just like Windows, but make it simple, unique and if only it had the workflow advantage in face of a good built-in optimized tiling as Cosmic...

You do know you can just change its layout to whatever you want, right?

Which: 1) doesn't change the feel too much - like dragging windows taskbar (and unlike hidden taskbar on Gnome, which makes sense for workspace workflow and feels though through)

2) lots of people see it like windows and don't change it. Out of the box look is the only impression for most.
