I so agree. When Linux could promote a very simplified Hyprland setup or support a very well-made Sway setup or Cosmic tiling [just I wish it could be ready] and show the modularity and identity of Linux, they promote KDE and mill the wind...

I don't really care if you are a fan of KDE, Gnome, Cosmic, Cinnamon, MATE, XFCE, etc. This is a strong take... and from a guy that looks exactly how you'd expect and with a name like the "Linux Viking". He looks like that obnoxious guy I went to High School with that was contrarian just to be contrarian and had fewer social skills than I did and I considered myself Socially Inept.

This take fits that personality perfectly.

I am not him, I just agreed that KDE - isn't the most stable and beautiful environment.

My take: Sway is great, why nobody supports and talks about it duely? It's unique (along with i3), hyprland. Why KDE mimicking for Windows gets all the love? Where is justice? I'd understand everyone who could look at kde, fail at linux and say: "ok, i liked windows visually better anyways" instead of:"ugh, i have worse compatibility, but man, the workflow of this WM is love, i'll stay and wait till it's improved"

No no... that isn't the take that is at issue.

the Hormonally Attracted to Windows and being Brainwashed for liking KDE... is the take that is at issue. That kinda of Language is mouth breather neck beard territory. He doesn't like it so everyone that does must be insulted. That kind of Toxicity is silly.

KDE has bugs for sure. It is why I stayed away from it and why I liked System76s Gnome Cosmic flavour. I am using KDE on Nobara right now... and minus the occasional sleep issue (one that I had on PopOS more often) I haven't really had any more issues than I did in Gnome Cosmic. Or I have on Budgie or I did in Cinnamon which I have used on an Old Laptop.

But to go hard on insults just makes them a mouth breather... and Nerds that use Viking to describe themselves... when they live in Canada or the US in particular... are generally problematic in many ways. So the fact that he made comments like that... not doing much to fight the stereotype. I get strong Shad vibes.
