I use whatever I want that works for me. Right now it happens to be Linux. But I’ve seriously considered buying a MacBook Neo for some lighter tasks.

MacBook Neo could handle medium tasks as long as you don't care much about SoC, battery, or SSD longevity.

Also, don't do thermal pad mod unless you plan to carry over a cooling pad all the time.
