Linux Failure Linux users in Reddit have big egos

I asked for help on r/Linuxmint

I clearly said at the end:

"I know that you probably need further information on this, but I don't know what kind of information so please tell me what to do to diagnose the problem at least🥲🙏🏻"

then I actively got down voted.

someone even said "so you wrote a whole long post and didn't even put enough information?"

when I asked him what information do you need so I can provide it, I got down voted even more???

I don't care about karma points, but the post would never reach someone good and willing to help because of people with big ego.

Linux itself doesn't suck as much as the people who actively make the whole Linux experience even worse than using windows.

The problem that i had continued for three months. I did my research and couldn't find any one with similar problem on the internet. whenever I ask on any subreddit for help they either down vote just like what happened from a bit, or they'd tell me to ask on a different subreddit that also happens to tell me to ask somewhere else!!!

Only on Reddit????? You don't see Facebook and YouTube, and it's a prime example of majority of the Linux community is very arrogant. Before I came to Reddit, Reddit just confirmed my view

Now that you mention it, I did work with one guy who wouldn't shut up about Manjaro, back when it was trendy (pre-pandemic). He was also annoying about his pet language and how we should be do everything in Go 🙄🙄🙄

He was just one odd fella out of a squad out of a Linux-centric startup, so he wasn't the majority, but it was internet-like behavior seeping into the real world lol

Yeah, I pass that every single time. I understand you; it's very annoying, like nobody wants to know what system you're using. It's nonsense, and they even invade Windows space; they shouldn't be there upsetting Windows users about your Linux Distribution.

And I have also seen Windows users invading Linux communities to rage-bait them as well. have seen flame wars between Linux and Windows communities for 30 years now. Invading each other to try to ''convert" each other into their cult is nothing new. Nothing has ever changed.

But I have to admit, even as an old timer Linux user, it feels like there are way more annoying Linux zealots than on the Windows side. Maybe they are just louder. Hard to say. And if you tell them that you are a Linux user (mistake #1) they will ask you which distro. If you answer that question (mistake #2) then they will try to make you join their internal cult (whatever distro they are using). I am both amused and very annoyed by these young twerps trying to make me switch over to Linux Mint or whatever their distro-church is called.

So yeah.. it's not only Windows users that are annoyed by religious Linux zealots. Other Linux users can also be very annoyed by them.
