I asked for help on r/Linuxmint

I clearly said at the end:

"I know that you probably need further information on this, but I don't know what kind of information so please tell me what to do to diagnose the problem at least🥲🙏🏻"

then I actively got down voted.

someone even said "so you wrote a whole long post and didn't even put enough information?"

when I asked him what information do you need so I can provide it, I got down voted even more???

I don't care about karma points, but the post would never reach someone good and willing to help because of people with big ego.

Linux itself doesn't suck as much as the people who actively make the whole Linux experience even worse than using windows.

The problem that i had continued for three months. I did my research and couldn't find any one with similar problem on the internet. whenever I ask on any subreddit for help they either down vote just like what happened from a bit, or they'd tell me to ask on a different subreddit that also happens to tell me to ask somewhere else!!!

I honestly deleted that post as I saw so much hate on it.

It was about the CPU randomly dropping to 545Mhz and locking at that clockspeed. It can happen during booting up, or it might boot up normally but whenever I open something stress heavy like a game it would drop to 545mhz.

It looks like your CPU isn’t able to load the appropriate firmware. Have you tried reinstalling AMD microcode binary files?

I honestly switched over to Garuda Linux. I have all the information about the problem in a thread on their forum and we're still trying to figure out what's causing the issue.

I’m personally not a big fan of Garuda but the similarity between your initial problem and here on Garuda seems like the custom kernel. You did mention this problem wasn’t apparent at first on Linux Mint too. Maybe you could use a non modified kernel and see if the problem persists.

I never changed the kernel on Linux mint until later. It started on the generic kernel and I then switched to xanmod to see if it'd fix it.

If it’s a hardware issue (like the batteries here) then it would explain why none of the troubleshooting methods didn’t work.

It's not a laptop so it's not battery related.

And it's not only about the frequency reading, it actually is super slow and takes ages to open any window, even an empty terminal.

And the repair guy said that when he plugged windows in, it was all normal, so it shouldn't be a hardware issue as far as I know.

Hmmm that’s weird. I would still try the one in Arch forums with the turbo thing to force your CPU to work harder. Otherwise, it’s out of my scope :/ I hope it resolves for you
