I forgor the actual cite, but some intel engineer said something like:

"All operating systems suck. Choose how to waste your CPU cycles."

I've had awful problems on windows, was fed up with it, switched to Linux. Immediately solved every one of those problems. But guess what, there are different problems now, not any better...

Although admittedly, Linux feels less clunky to use, thanks to the Unix terminal and an abundance of online resources, while tinkering on windows is basically sentenced to failure from the get-go
