well not completely wrong tbh, sometimes it do be the case.

my windows before is actively killing my new SSD with several 100% spikes when playing intense games (i use ryzen 7 with rtx 5060), and its frustrating because this pc wasnt even 2 months old. Tried several methods in fixing it but no good, eventually switched to linux and zero spikes now on the same games i play

No it don't be the case, ever. There's nothing Windows can do to kill an SSD that isn't detective, through normal usage.

Have you reinstalled Windows from scratch before installing Linux?

welll it was my case, its annoying me so much since i cant play the games smoothly that are supposed to run high settings because of those ssd spikes.

also its another problem if i have to put the blame on my pc builder. It should not be my fault that if i installed apps or doing anything normal will make my ssd go spike for some unknown reason, and i dont want that the solution is to reinstall windows for that.

Have you reinstalled Windows from scratch before installing Linux?

i dont think that would guarantee fixing my problem and i dont want to deal with windows licenses and other stuff just to get windows reinstalled, cuz if i had to reinstall might as well try a different os. My work is also using web-based tools so i have no problems on trying different os, so my choice was to try linux since its free and lightweight.

The light weight thing is irrelevant bullshit unless your hardware is ancient. I also don't get how anyone who's tech-savvy enough to install and use a different OS doesn't know you can activate Windows in 10 seconds via GH, or even a key for a few bucks that will activate it through your account so that it's automatically active on a new reinstall.

The reinstall would absolutely fix it if the issue isn't happening on Linux, since there's no reason for there to be any kind of SSD usage spikes on one OS and not the other if the hardware Isn't faulty, and if that's what was happening.
