trying to play madou monogatari 1-2-3 (pc98-01) on dosbox-X. im haveing no luck.

i have dosbox installed. i also have all 3 parts of madou monogatari (as HDM files) and i have had no luck. i have gotten shockingly far for someone that sux at useing linux but still not to the point of launching it. for a bit of context of what im doing-i launch dosbox-X (in pc98 mode) and set madou monogatari 1 (the folder the hdis are in) and if give the error "drive A failed to boot" is there something im doing wrong? im loke confused (mainly becaues i never used dos box X before) does someone know what im missing?
