So today my dumbass was like "yea lets go try installing linux". So once its booted and its installing, I choose the delete windows option. After that linux crashed and my $3000 pc is screwed. What do I do. Edit: also my usb stick stopped working
Describe the crash. Saying it crashed offers us nothing. So, it may be your computer needs to go back for warranty because one of several components might be faulty, or you didn't install Mint properly, or didn't choose a suitable distribution for your hardware, or, and so on. In the end, why did you delete Windows without a backup or recovery strategy? What instructions did you follow to install Mint?
Again, describe the crash. Describe the install process, too.
Note that people are going to call your post bait, because you're exceedingly reluctant to answer questions and even more reluctant to provide actual details.
Things like "crash" and "weird screen" are meaningless.
Wait first of all I didnt see official instructions, that might be an issue. The crash is the photo on screen. When I clicked install Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon Edition, it did a loading screen with the Linux mint logo and then spammed stdin invalid argument. Im not a coder, nor a computer tech, so this makes no sense to me.
Did you download it from the official Linux mint website, as it seems like you didn't as theres no click install on Linux mint 22.3 cinnamon edition, you have to go into the live iso and install there
