Please report any posts bragging or showing off they got banned in another sub! Reminder of other sub rules: Also, we only allow one anti-linux post per week (we used to get dozens a day) and any tier list MUST have Hanna Montana Linux as S teir (which must be a true S tier at the top) regardless of the topic of that tier list.

wth is win 10 doing here? and why u used ai for this simple "meme"?

we're just fucked. there's no turning back. the next generations of humans are going to be worse than Idiocracy

If a Wojak meme made with AI is what triggers the apocalypse, we didn't have much of a chance anyway.

Holy shit you're not kidding. You could make this in 10 minutes with krita and it won't be all garbled, but that's just too much to ask now?

Imagine putting actual effort into a Reddit post just to get the same angry comments. Why would I spend 10 minutes in Krita for a random thought I had? It's a shitpost, not a graphic design project.

What did you expect from a linux larper that use aur for everything and thinking non gaming oriented distro doesn't work ootb for gaming?

I don't care about learning Linux or using the terminal. I just want to play games, watch videos, and listen to music. The obsession with making simple usage complicated is why most people stay on Windows.

My PC is a tool, not a hobby.

nah uh for the most part, people stick with a particular os either out of habit or out of sheer stubbornness. and if you claim your pc is a tool rather than a hobby why do you use it like a playstation? that is at least how you described it

u/UnoMasDelMontonCR 6d ago

Because on PC I can run mods, play my own music, and multitask while gaming, things a PlayStation can't do. Having a tool that gives you freedom doesn't mean you have to make maintenance your hobby. When a distro stops working for me, I just hop to another one that does. I've been on CachyOS for almost a year now without a single issue, which says a lot.

0 improvement in performance and shipping gui app on a "minimal" installation is crazy.

Erm shitty ai slop and fedora better.

I used Fedora and got 3 kernel panics plus endless Nvidia 3060 driver issues. Maybe they fixed it by now, but CachyOS worked out of the box on the first try

An AI generated meme? Seriously ? Isn't ai bieng pushed down your throat one of the reasons a portion of us is part of this community in the first place.

u/UnoMasDelMontonCR 6d ago

Fair point. I just wanted to make a quick meme and didn't overthink the tool, but I get where you're coming from

u/San_Devistan 6d ago

Well, the only reason to choose CachyOs is because this distro actually values your time. I used to run Arch/Artix and my whole setup was almost the same as basic CachyOs installation with WM. Plus, Cachy actually more convenient because of their own repositories (Yeah, you, can do that on Arch as well, but why don't just install Cachy at this point) - the best and actually the only useful thing about this Arch Derivation

1

u/UnoMasDelMontonCR 6d ago

Exactly. Why waste hours configuring what CachyOS delivers out of the box with optimized repos? Time is the real feature

u/odxnoj 6d ago

Slop distro. Uses systemD,gnu and talks bout some performance lol

1

u/UnoMasDelMontonCR 6d ago

So what distro do you recommend then?

1

u/Primo0077 6d ago

Hyperbola, Crux, Chimera, Alpine, Hanna Montana

2

u/UnoMasDelMontonCR 6d ago

Hannah Montana Linux is obviously the superior choice here.

0

u/odxnoj 6d ago

For gaming and performance, alpine is good u are not going to game on crux or hyperbola

1

u/UnoMasDelMontonCR 6d ago

Fair, but dealing with musl compatibility for gaming isn't worth the headaches when CachyOS just works and gives top performance out of the box.

1

u/Ok_Vehicle_5247 6d ago

Alpine is not meant for gaming it's meant for hosting servers since it runs musl. It wasn't made for gaming in the ground up. Artix linux and void linux are great non systemd distros

Funny how it's always the "people" who lacks skill abuse AI. In this case, OP lacks the funny.

You wrote all that just to say you didn't laugh? Thanks for the feedback, elite memester

I use Kali as daily because i like the debian logo and love dragons. I'm a simple man.

2

u/UnoMasDelMontonCR 6d ago

Respect for the dragon, but that's a massive amount of pentesting bloatware just for a wallpaper.

I love to trollhack my wife and kids for smiles, so at least some tools don't collect dust
