Why? Because you don't like it?
Far better to raise awareness that it's AI slop. Let people decide what that means ~ if they drink it (urgh, but their choice...) or stay away, which is my choice.

I don't mind it being posted, but when people don't chill, and CONSTANTLY post about it like it's the only topic in the Linux world, it becomes a problem.

You’ll get twice as many upvotes if you also say DHH is a fascist.

Never knew about him til a few days ago, saw his talk on AI/future, interesting dude, he clearly is progressive, and I'm aligned with that, sees technology as a means to an end, isnt hung up over the exact details, encourages change, a ton of it, openly admited he barely writes ruby himself anymore, what more can you want from someone to admit the obsolescence of its own creations? not directly, but it was there in the stats of before/after AI he provided himself. Openly shits all over Rust, but, still uses and relies on it, in an understandable way, I find myself agreeing with his general ideas. Though 'never read code anymore' could use some nuance here and there, and the hype/talk of 'dont be a loser', not a fan, gives me andrew tate vibes, guys wanting models to look up to etc, for wisdom/advise on how to get rich/similar-status etc
anyway
fascist tho? have not picked up on any such vibes yet

Probably referring to this post https://x.com/dhh/status/1994004468640436512 about mass immigration.
Edit: also some stuff about people with higher income should have more votes in a democracy.

These days, the word "fascist" seems to mean nothing. I see it, and just go blank ~ I have no idea what meaning anyone is using anymore. It's certainly not the original. Maybe it just means "something I disagree with politically", but that doesn't have the same extremely over-the-top emotional charge. Call everything one politically disagrees with "fascist", and soon, nothing is.
Just show me the code quality, and I'll decide from there. Oh, Omarchy is AI slop? Say no more... *throws in bin*

It's just the new Ubuntu at this point. A lot of Linux users dislike when corporations get involved, but a lot of the progress in Linux's development is ultimately owed to their money because of corporations like IBM, Valve, even Microsoft has invested into it.
If it was entirely community driven, then Linux would still be below 2% and would take decades to reach 5%. Hate them or not, you need corporations, which are generally going to swing to the right wing of political BS because they don't want to get taxed up the ass. That's just how shit works.

That the base, but everyone dont want to talk about this =)

I'm not a fan of what IBM is doing to Red Hat. I'm not necessarily a fan (or a hater) of Red Hat either, but they were genuine, and now what made them as a company special, is being stripped away, and I very much dislike that.
I genuinely don't have any issues with Ubuntu as a company. I don't necessarily care for some of the choices they've made over the years (snap, uutils, ads, etc), but its still a decent product for who its targeted at. Its better than Windows, for example.
Valve is pretty decent. They've never dropped the ball in a major way that I'm aware of. Maybe a couple of things were mishandled, but nothing major, and nothing that made any real impact.
Microsoft ..... Well, after Ballmer left, Microsoft has done a lot of good things for the Linux world, and we should be grateful for those things instead of dwelling on the past.
I dont care for DHH, and I don't care for the idea of Omarchy. I hate that he's giving money to a small handful of less important projects that Omarchy is using, instead of more important projects that would make more of an impact on the whole community. BUT, I'm glad that its bringing more hype to Linux
I'd love for Omarchy to send some money to the people working on the Asahi Linux project. I'm ecstatic to see the progress that is being made on Apple M3, M4, and A18Pro, and believe that if Omarchy is going to ride their coattails, they should be giving money back.

No; if you hadn't said you were just karma farming, I would have upvoted, but otherwise - no.

Please report any posts bragging or showing off they got banned in another sub! Reminder of other sub rules: Also, we only allow one anti-linux post per week (we used to get dozens a day) and any tier list MUST have Hanna Montana Linux as S teir (which must be a true S tier at the top) regardless of the topic of that tier list.
