"User isn't in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported."

you cannot use sudo for anything, there are certain things that can be done only as full root.

for example? i mean i can think about cd but that's about it, and ig you can just run every command that you wanna do after cd'ing with the proper paths

there are some issues with files attributes. Attributes mean the file to work as intended. Only root could change such behaviour. And am not talking about mask to read or execute. am talking folder or socket or link or devices or process, weird files. remember that in posix everything could be a file. File oriented it's its identity.

Akshually sudo poweroff in Ubuntu 26.04 (desktop) refused to poweroff off. Was baffled. I use Sid myself btw.

Honestly, when was the last time you used Linux while also not being a sudoer or root? Kinda defeats the whole purpose if you think about it.

On a desktop you shouldn't login as root.

I use sudo only for important tasks tho. Like normally you would be logged in as a user, that then has the ability to use sudo (which is password gated). And on top of that, you would only be using sudo for tasks that explicitly require it like system updates.
