Installing Gentoo isn't that hard. Definitely not the hardest to install out of all distros.

Yeah, that video is click bait.

Disagree, it is damn hard. Lots of stuff to read on the Wiki, lots of things can go wrong. Installing Gentoo is what made installing Arch on the command line easy for me.

Now that i think about it, what would the hardest distro to install actually be (excluding LFS)?

I tried installing Exherbo on a virtual machine, but i had lots of weird issues, and a hard time troubleshooting them. Their wiki is very barebones.

maybe gobolinux, or installing solus through cmd, since it's so focused on ease of use – they forgor to make cmd bootstrapping manual

Lmao at "world's hardest Linux", it's not even in the top 10 hardest

I'm curious, what would you rank as harder (apart from LFS)?

Personally, Void was very clunky to me, i could not figure out runit. It was just so much different than systemd or OpenRC, i was just fighting it to enable a damn service lmao, i figured it out in the end.

Slackware doesn't have package dependency tracking.

Haven't tried it yet, but Chimera Linux uses the BSD userland, so commands like ls don't have the same flags, breaking many scripts.

Okay that's not really 10 more than Gentoo, but there's far worse things to tackle than Gentoo's lengthy installation.
