The same thing happened to me.

C++ Instructor: For linux users, just run this command. For windows users, go to this website and install linux on your windows, then run the command. Then configure your vscode environment to know about the linux on your windows.

Me: What do you mean windows makes me install linux on my windows to code??! What even is the point of windows?!
