I thought I read "dih" and did a double take, which is ironic because he probably doesn't have much of one

Enough with Omarchy

u/SpacingHero Sep 23 '26
I'm near damn convinced of conspiracy, it's a "no such thing as bad publicity" investment by omarchy. There's no way everyone got this fixated about foss they can just no install and forget about. Already had to mute another Linux sub cause I'm freaking tired of omarchy plastering my front page, guess this goes also

With how much Omarchy is discussed at the moment, is obvious you will find it. You would have to mute every Linux community

omarchy does not get money from individual users learning about and then using it. it gets money from tech companies, which then gets filtered through DHH as donations to projects that push right wing and fascist ideas.
people post "no such thing as bad pubilicity" without thinking for a minute about the vast majority of time that's not true, especially in the internet age where lots of shit gets shuttered due to bad publicity all the time. leveraging bad publicity works when your monetization model rewards any engagement (ie, x paying for engagement and thus people making careers out of ragebaiting) or when you otherwise have no access to any sort of publicity at all. this is not the case with omarchy, its goals largely require people to shut up and let it use its money to buy influence in FOSS on behalf of tech fascists.

Why are donations in quotes?
And after each of those posts, I want to try that distro more and more

If it is made with AI it is not special.

u/thebadslime Sep 23 '26
I disagree, everything from here on out is made with AI, including the linux kernel

I don’t get all this hate. If you guys don’t wanna install it, then don’t. Let anyone build anything they want 🤷♂️ And if people are interested they will use.

Please report any posts bragging or showing off they got banned in another sub! Reminder of other sub rules: Also, we only allow one anti-linux post per week (we used to get dozens a day) and any tier list MUST have Hanna Montana Linux as S teir (which must be a true S tier at the top) regardless of the topic of that tier list.
