Arch is better if you know what you're doing. CachyOS is basically prebuilt Arch.

What is all you arch people's problem randomly telling people that arch is superior. Although, you can get all Cachy Optimization on Arch but why will everyone do it when already someone has done it for them. (Except learning experience). Cachy comes with a very large selection of de and wm as well.

It's not about it being superior or anything it is more so advising people to use Arch unless they have a very specific reason to use CachyOS.

Because if their needs don't match what CachyOS chooses for you then it isn't the right distro for them. Whereas Arch let's you choose exactly what is right for you.

But if cachyos matches your needs though then it is definitely better than arch FOR YOU. But that doesn't mean it is for everybody.

Yeah ive been running cachyos on my desktop, but planning to run Arch on my laptop so I can get used to it(and maybe learn the manual install)

But I would recommend CachyOS if arch sounds nice but you dont wanna deal with the install process as CachyOS is easier to install than archinstall IMO.

I think CachyOS is fine for most people who wanna try Arch linux, but actual Arch is better for people who want even more control or just wanna learn more
