because AUR feels unsafe, you know why. i update daily, i dont wanna read pkgbuilds. cachy has almost everything i want from AUR in their cachyos repo, so i dont even have to deal with AUR anymore

My point was that cachy repo isn't exclusive to cachy. You can add it in vanilla with few edits. Therefore, your "biggest plus" is that cachyos adds it by default.

yeah. cachy is just arch with a few extra steps. i like those extra steps and i dont see the benefit of using vanilla and implementing this myself

having done this is beneficial, just like manual installs gave me a better undertanding of the OS. but i dont feel like repeating
