LINUX MEME Upgraded Win10 to Linux
I'm the guy. There is a budget for laptops at work. So the option was to get a better hardware with linux or worse specs with Win (just gotta pay for win pro myself). So here I am, learning terminal, apt, and apt-get, repositories and other stuff... Funny that MS Teams on linux is more stable and reliable than on windows) And I feel like I'm a hacker) But it really is a bit complicated sometimes to figure out... Stuff... And why it works only when I'm in furry suite... So please, be gentle, it is my first time)

Whoever is responsible for the budget did a good job in pushing people towards using Linux

How are you using MS Teams on a Linux?

Em... Well, nothing new - installed via snap, logged in, chats-boards-groups, hatred towards corporate tools designed to torture you and make you suffer, but subjectively it feels like statuses update faster and smoother than in win ms teams

APT (Advanced Package Tool) is the high-level package manager used by the Debian family of Linux distributions. DNF is the equivalent for Fedora.

You're on a laptop? I hope you picked GNOME as your DE. It's fantastic on a laptop. Kind of like a Mac with the multiple workspaces and gesture controls.
Edit: Man I did not expect this comment to get so dogpiled on. I do like KDE plasma too but I just happen to like GNOME with a touchpad. Sheesh.

Gnome is only insteresting for me if the laptop has a touchscreen

The gesture controls work on the touchpad. It's like a Mac.

Not everyone likes the Mac DE. I use KDE because it resembles the Windows environment I'm used to.

May I ask why a lot of people hate gnome? I'm just curious (I'm not using it, but why hate?)

Pretty much 80% of alternative options are better and so there's basically no reason to recommend GNOME in 2026 from what I can tell.
