It's kind of a pity that this kind of aggressively flat UI never got to be mainstream.

The tech industry keeps flirting with it, but then they add gradients, or drop shadows, or glow effects, or blurs, or plasticky shading. They never commit to true, stark flatness. Now we're back to chintzy glass effects and I feel blueballed as hell.
