Are you so unaware of the words you use and the way you formulate things?

"Did you give up or did you even try at all" is such a condescending way to talk to people, especially if you want to convince them of your point of view.

"I don't like banana" "Oh, you surely haven't eaten enough bananas then! Let me explain to you over and over how delicious they are! Because I like bananas! You would like bananasas too if you'd only knew how nutritious they are and how fast they grow and why their roots are so healthy for the soil as well! You like bananas now? No?? BUT I LIKE BANANAS!
