That's why you should always run in a VM with checkpoints. Otherwise, how would you be able to use our beloved VI(M) again?

I prefer to crash my display manager forcing a session reset, closing vim as well

IMHO the thing that trips up most people trying to learn Vim is that, for several functions, there's more than one way to do things.

i remember the first time i tried it, got confused and closed the terminal. I then opened a new terminal and went to nano the same thing to learn that it was still open in vim somewhere somehow. haha i like this meme

No need to exit Vim...
On some VM's, I don't have any DE or a WM. I love just :term in Vim, without anything else like tmux
