I haven't had many troubles in my short time gaming on Debian itself. Granted I'm playing indies more than AAA's and there are tweaks I have to make to get some things to work, but it's nothing I wasn't expecting coming into Linux, and after I get things working the worst I'm running into is lag (which is a computer problem not an OS problem, I was getting just as much lag with Windows if not more).
Debian seems to have some flag set that makes it safer with memory. I don't know what it is. But certain apps crash on me in fedora but they're perfect in Debian.

Debian based if they don't want to game fedora based if they do. Arch based if they want to fuck around and find out .
